Twisted Taper Candles

Originating in Italy in the Middle Ages and called a "duplero," meaning "double" in Latin, these lovely Twisted Tapers are dipped as two individual candles and then twisted together by hand while still warm.

Made from 100% Minnesota beeswax

Hand-dipped by our friends at ECCE on their homestead in northern Minnesota - a festive addition to any table!

Note: Due to the nature of beeswax and the process of hand-dipping, your candles may vary in color and shape slightly, but we think that this is part of the charm of all-natural, handmade items. Your candles may develop a white, dull finish over time, which is completely normal. This is called "bloom" and is due to the softer oils rising to the surface of candle--it is also an indication that your candles are made from 100% beeswax. Simply buff with a clean cloth and the original lustre of the wax will return.
